A friend of mine who recently moved from Cambridge to Canada (sorry for not being more specific -- honestly I think it's like a couple hours outside Toronto) hated the food in the Kendall/Central area. He would go on for ages about how it was insanely difficult to get a decent bite to eat around here. Well, recently (as this post also intimates), that has been changing. I can walk out my front door and, in addition to incredibly easy access to a full-fledged grocery store, I can find delicious and reasonably priced Thai food, sushi, burgers, tajine, etc. within minutes.
However, some nights are not for walking out of the front door to those things. Some nights are for waiting until you are so hungry you no longer have the capacity for decision-making, forcing yourself to focus enough to explore your options (typically with the aid of some sort of computing device -- an actual computer, if you are lucky), and then going to that website. That was what tonight was.
So, thank you to Foodler, and thank you to Cambridge for providing the restaurants that are willing to ship off their food during the wee hours (or at least past 10pm) to those sad hungry fools like myself. [Note: since Foodler itself and the food I consumed tonight aren't very photogenic, I am providing a picture of myself eating some caffeinated Mac and Cheese circa fall 2008, which is pretty much equally as unhealthy as the food I consumed tonight.]
